The Observatorio Astrofísico de Javalambre Data Management: From raw data to scientific exploitation
The Observatorio Astrofísico de Javalambre (OAJ, Teruel, Spain) is a Spanish astronomical singular techno-scientific infrastructure (ICTS) constructed and managed by the Centro de Estudios de Física del Cosmos de Aragón (CEFCA, Spain). The OAJ is devoted to carry out large multiband sky surveys and the massive data produced by its two main telescopes (83cm JAST and 2.5m JST) is managed and processed by the Unit of Processing and Archiving Data (UPAD). Since 2015 the OAJ/UPAD is collecting and processing data for J-PLUS (www.j-plus.es) with the JAST in 12 optical bands providing in 2018 with the first public data release of ~1000deg² (J-PLUS DR1). Also in 2018, the JST telescope collected data in 56 optical bands for the J-PAS project (www.j-pas.org) with a preliminary 1-CCD camera (Pathfinder) resulting in an internal data release of 1deg² (mini-JPAS) and preparing the way for the inminent installation of JPCam, a 14-CCDs camera. In this contribution, we will present our implementation of the data management and data processing system covering from the data collection from the OAJ's multiband large FoV cameras through the data processing (image reduction, PSF characterization, coadding, catalog construction, photometric calibration, photo-z computation,...) until its final publication for scientific exploitation.
