The Data Reduction Pipeline for FIFI-LS, the MIR Integral Field Spectrograph for SOFIA
We present an outline of the data reduction pipeline for FIFI-LS, the mid-infrared integral field spectrograph on board the Stratospheric Observatory for Infrared Astronomy (SOFIA). We discuss the various data reduction steps and algorithms implemented in the pipeline, including ramp fitting, chop-nod subtraction, wavelength and spatial calibrations, telluric correction, flux calibration, and wavelength and spatial resampling onto a regular grid to generate a 3-dimensional data cube. We will also briefly mention new developments and upgrades to the pipeline, including the conversion of the code to Python and incorporation of a new 3-D interpolation scheme.
