Migration of a living observation archive to a software-defined storage
The problems of the long-term preservation of observations obtained with telescopes of the SAO RAS are considered. As a solution to the problems associated with the data preservation, scaling of hardware and archive contents, access and data interpretation, a prototype of a permanent data warehouse based on specialized iRODS free software is proposed and a strategy of archive migration to a new storage environment is considered.
